Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOREEN ISABEL MULLIGAN (nee GREEN) It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Doreen Isabel Mulligan on March 26, 2009 at the Grace Hospital, with her family by her bedside. Born in Winnipeg, MB on August 18, 1930, Doreen was the youngest daughter of Alfred and Meta Green (nee Wedge). She was predeceased by her husband Melvin on February 28, 1994, father Alfred in 1964, mother Meta in 1962, brothers Harold Green in 1976 and Allan Green in 1993, sister Anna Somers in 1991, nephew Lorne Green and niece Donna Pellin. Doreen is survived by her sister-in-law Marie Green; brother-in-law Dennis (Olga) Mulligan; sister-in-law Gwen (Lloyd) Kitching; sister-in-law Pat (Bill) Blair; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and cousins. Doreen worked for the Provincial Government Vital Statistics Office for 37 years until her retirement in October 1990. Doreen spent most of her life living in Rosser, MB until recently when she moved to the Kiwanis Courts in Winnipeg. At Doreen's request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway, with Reverend Don McIntyre officiating. The family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Bellas, Dr. Steigerwald, Dr. Kramer, and all the staff on 3 North at the Grace Hospital for the excellent care that was given to Doreen during her stay. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doreen's honour to CancerCare Manitoba, to the Rosser United Church or to a charity of your choice.
